Trade customers don’t impulse-buy furniture. They need to know what’s on the shelf, what’s in production and what’s worth pre-ordering - and they buy by enquiry and quote, not a checkout button.
We rebuilt obodo.com.au around that reality. A custom integration plugin syncs live stock states from the Cin7 inventory system into WooCommerce, so every listing and product page shows the truth: on shelf, in production, or pre-order. A bespoke enquiry system - built to replace an off-the-shelf plugin that couldn’t cope - carries a session-persistent enquiry cart, captures finishes, colours and options, and lands each enquiry in the back office as an order the team can quote and manage.
The engineering is deliberately update-safe: custom behaviour lives in our own plugins rather than theme hacks, so platform updates don’t break the store. Built through 2025, live since October, and extended by us since.
